Our goals
Our Comenius Project
“EU-Storyland” aims to revive the most natural and enjoyable means of
communication among children, stories.
No matter how deep technology and computers have penetrated our children´s
lives, the innate ability of telling stories is always adapting itself and
stories find new ways of coming into light:
through a dubbed cartoon, an
electronic booklet, within a virtual community of story-tellers or by creating online stories. These are some
of the tools we intend. to use in order to tell and retell old and new stories.
First, our purpose is to make
children realize that European stories belong to a common cultural heritage
that preserves common moral values. We will involve our students
in research activities to unveil historal realites, spiritual symbols
and old and modern myths. The Internet,
books, a chat with older people and
local archives will be our resources. Second, children will use the results of their inquiries in creative activities: launching
a figure page of fairy characters on the Project blog, composing a “Fairy Tale”
song, imagining the World of
EU-Storyland on a joint huge painting or writing altogether the European story
of the 21st century, our final joint
product.
